The range
Step out of the shower cubicle. Is the mirror ‘steamed over’?...there is another way.Remove the cause of condensation at source with an Xpelair inline shower fan system.
With a neat grille installed directly over the shower, humid or moist air will be ducted away by a fan above the ceiling and onwards to a grille installed outside, typically in the soffit.
Will I be standing in a draught? No, air will not be pulled into a normal cubicle, only flow over it.
XIL fans are available in sizes of 100, 125 & 150mm and are only available as fan systems. The systems contain all the components necessary for a normal installation, comprising:
- inline fan
- 3m of flexible duct
- Four worm drive clips
- inline backdraught shutter (XIL100)
- Internal ceiling grille with sleek styling in white
- Outside soffit/wall grille
XXS100 fans are available on their own.
All electronics circuits and wiring terminals are fully protected. Motors are Class B lubricated for life, fitted with safety thermal overload protection and suitable for ambient temperatures up to 40ºC.
Xpelair XIL systems conform to Building Regulations mechanical ventilation for toilets shower rooms and bathrooms.

The system shall comprise:

- Inline backdraught shutter
- Internal ceiling grille in white
- Outside soffit/wall grille in brown
- T models shall include overrun timer function adjustable between 2 - 20mins (100 range) and 3 - 15mins (125/150 ranges)
- The fan housing and grilles shall be moulded in ABS. The internal and external grilles should have finger guard protection. The fan and air operated backdraught shutter shall be installed in the space above the ceiling at the highest point in the system
- The motor shall be lubricated for life with built in safety thermal overload protection
- The fan shall comply with Building Regulations for use in bathrooms and shower rooms when typically installed
