The range
Applications: flats, student accomodation, bedsits, care homes, offices, extensions: supplementing existing heating, caravans, boats (with transformers) and underfloor heating
Halogen technology: A series of Halogen Infrared elements heat the water efficiently and cleanly. Located within specially designed copper housings, each element is fitted directly onto the copper heat exchanger. The heat exchanger links 6 or 10 Halogen elements depending on the size of the boiler.
As water circulates through the system the high efficiency elements instantly reach operating temperature and induce heat transfer through the copper heat exchanger.
Wet radiators up to a combined output of 12,000 BTU’s can be supplied by the LP330; 8,000 BTU’s for the L318 although heat output is limited to the output of the boiler.
Installation: The small size of Hotbox ensures that even in locations where space is at a premium, it can provide a steady flow of hot water for wet radiators.
The Hotbox doesn’t require any hot soldering and by using push fit pipes and a standard plug, installation is simple.
The Hotbox is designed specifically for use in small, pressurised, sealed system installations.
The Hotbox Halogen Boiler incorporates all the components required for sealed systems: pressure gauge, pressure relief valve, expansion vessel, circulating pump, manual reset overheat thermostat, manual air vent.
There are two controls on the appliance, one adjusts the water flow temperature, and the other is an on/off switch. A 2m electrical flex with integral plug, which requires a standard 240V~50Hz supply via a standard 13A ring main socket is supplied. The L318 is fused at 10A and the LP330 at 13A.
Upon installation, there must be adequate space for servicing, operation of the boiler and air circulation.
A front entry panel allows safe installtion and servicing from within a suitable cupboard.
Efficiency: Due to its simplicity, the Hotbox keeps installation and commissioning costs to a minimum.
The Hotbox can be installed directly into the room which requires heating and as there are no odours or fumes there is no requirement for a flue.
The maximum power requirement of the Hotbox is 7.7 amps which is less than an average electric kettle.
The Halogen elements used in the unit last up to 2000 hours, with the fitted Hotbox programmer allowing 24/7 control. Therefore energy consumption is directly relative to demand.
