| Part L Part L is the latest amend to the Building Regulations and is designed to lessen the emissions of carbon dioxide from UK homes and thereby reduce the impact on climate change. The revisions are due to come into force in April 2006. The new regulations will require all new homes to achieve a Target Carbon Emission Rate and it is expected that the improved standards will be reflected and strengthened by best-practice endorsing bodies in the building trade.
